Mourning the Tradition enables people who are working through a faith crisis, like someone thinking of leaving the LDS church, to tell their stories and have them validated. It is a safe sanctuary from which participants are heard and honored, and where they are able to find some resolution in their journey forward.

If you find yourself leaving or transitioning out of the LDS Church, and need to be heard and to find some healing, this process is designed to facilitate movement in that direction. The listening groups are kept to a maximum of five people, and we provide enough groups for all to be heard. Those who listen will focus on hearing and honoring your truth, but will not offer any feedback. We want to let your story stand as sacred. What is shared in the group stays in the group. Currently, we host this event twice per year. For more information: infocommunitycircle@cofchrist.eu
