Living Spiritual Practices | Notice, Gaze, Cherish, Bless

The sacredness of creation touches our hearts deeply, and often we become achingly aware of the beauty, fragility, and connection to the Divine that speaks to us through nature.  In this spiritual practice, we will spend time in holy attention, noticing and gazing at creation.  We will practice cherishing, blessing, and being blessed by simple elements of God’s world.  And then we must move beyond, honoring not only the power of generation but also the potential for destruction and harm.  Only when we have gazed even on the devastating loss that nature brings to the earth can we embrace the full mystery of creation’s resilience, renewal, and potential for resurrection.
